Abstract

This study explores the evolving landscape of robotic surgery by comparing traditional robotic systems with their AI-enhanced counterparts. Traditional robotic surgery systems have long served as an extension of the surgeon’s capabilities, offering high precision and improved dexterity. Recently, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into these systems has paved the way for enhanced decision-making, automated error detection, and adaptive surgical planning. This manuscript investigates the differences between these two approaches through a multifaceted analysis that includes a review of existing literature, statistical performance comparisons, and a detailed methodology outlining the study design. The findings indicate that while traditional systems maintain reliability and robustness, AI-enhanced systems show promising improvements in efficiency, adaptability, and outcomes. The paper concludes with a discussion on the potential future integration of AI in surgical robotics, along with the associated ethical and clinical considerations.
