Abstract

In the current era of sustainable development, energy efficiency is emerging as a critical factor in the design and operation of electromechanical medical devices. This manuscript examines the interplay between energy consumption and device performance, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in the healthcare technology sector. We review the technological advancements, energy management strategies, and sustainability frameworks that underpin modern electromechanical devices used in medical settings. Through a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative literature review and quantitative analysis of energy consumption data, we provide insights into current trends, challenges, and future opportunities for reducing the environmental footprint of medical technology. Our findings indicate that adopting energy efficient technologies not only reduces operational costs and carbon emissions but also enhances device reliability and patient safety. The study underscores the need for interdisciplinary collaboration among engineers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to foster innovations that support both clinical outcomes and environmental sustainability.
