Abstract

The evolution of healthcare technology has led to a rapid increase in the use of networked medical devices and surgical robots. These systems offer unparalleled benefits in precision, efficiency, and remote patient care. However, as their connectivity increases, so does their vulnerability to cyber threats. This paper examines the cybersecurity challenges that confront modern networked medical devices and surgical robots. We review recent literature, propose a methodology for evaluating security measures, and present a simulation-based analysis that quantifies potential risks. Statistical analysis is used to identify key risk factors, and simulation research demonstrates how cyberattacks might propagate within hospital networks. Our findings indicate that despite the significant benefits these technologies offer, there is an urgent need for enhanced cybersecurity protocols, robust encryption practices, and continuous monitoring systems to mitigate the risks posed by cyber adversaries.
