Abstract

The integration of healthcare robotics into complex clinical systems requires a comprehensive approach that unifies disparate subsystems into a seamless, interoperable whole. This manuscript explores the challenges and methodologies associated with the system-ofsystems (SoS) integration in healthcare robotics. Focusing on interoperability, data exchange standards, safety, and real-time decision-making, we present an analytical framework and experimental results from a pilot integration project. The study synthesizes current literature, proposes a multi-layered integration methodology, and outlines the resulting system performance, highlighting the benefits and limitations of the approach. Our results indicate significant improvements in system responsiveness, error reduction, and clinical workflow efficiency, while also discussing potential scalability challenges and security concerns inherent to the integration process.
